• Cenk Erdoğan was born in Istanbul in 1979. In 2001, he graduated with a First Class Honours from Bilgi University Music Department , and after he held a workshop at the Berklee College Of Music on fretless guitar and modes in Turkish music upon the invitation of David Fiuczynski in 2004.

In 2008 he recorded his first album “İLE”, and the same year, with Aria, he composed and arranged the soundtrack for the movie “Issız Adam”, and won Yeşilçam “Soundtrack of the Year 2009” prize.

His music blends jazz harmonization and traditional melodies through a very special technique. Influenced by the traditional Turkish instruments baglama and tanbur , his technique is diverted from other fretless guitar playing techniques.

Cenk Erdoğan played with many artists such as Trilok Gurtu, Doninique di Piazza, Dave Weckl, Kai Eckhardt, Eric Levy and Adam Matta. He still composes and arranges soundtracks for television series and movies with Aria Music, and gives concerts with Cenk Erdoğan Trio.
