• Orfeon Chamber Choir was founded in 1994 by people of different professions, who had previously sung in various polyphonic choirs and participated in national/international festivals and competitions, and who has a joint interest and love for the polyphonic choral music.

    The main goal of Orfeon Chamber Choir is to perform distinguished pieces of world choral music as well as the Turkish choral music literature in various international platforms including festivals and competitions, and to appeal to a wide range of different listener communities and audiophiles while doing so.

    The choir has been working with Elnara Kerimova since May 1999. The awards and accomplishments of Orfeon have helped introducing Turkish Choral Music to wide international audience. The accomplishments of Orfeon include four silver medals in the 1st Choral Olympics in Linz, Austria; the 7th World Choral Music Symposium Concert in Kyoto, Japan; the concert given in NCPA, Beijing, China; the two recorded albums; first prizes won in Canada and England; and the joint workshops and concerts in Turkey with the illustrious vocal groups Swingle Singers and Cantabile.
